Did you know that Orchids are a version of an air plant? They do not like to be in sitting water, and also like air flow through their root system! A few of my friends mentioned that they always kill orchids- so I designed this planter for them! Also, did you know they actually grow upside down?! That’s why they’re always propped up with a stick. The hanging planter allows the orchids to grow naturally and effortlessly, and enables their blooms to last longer and grow more frequently!

This hanging planter is handmade in Vancouver, BC steps from the Pacific Ocean. It is handcrafted from start to finish: thrown on my potter’s wheel, with no molds or machinery (except for me! In university they used to call me the machine 😉 ) Because they are all handmade there may be slight differences in the shape and size of each vase.
